Reyna linked with move away from BVBBoss Edin Terzic says otherwiseMidfielder wanted by several clubsWHAT HAPPENED?
Speaking to DAZN after Dortmund's 3-1 win over VFL Bochum, where Reyna came off the bench, the Dortmund boss revealed he was impressed with the USMNT midfielder's performance. As a result of that, the Black and Yellow coach has an expectation that the 21-year-old is available to him this Friday against Heidenheim – two days after the transfer window closes.

“Gio is a fantastic player. Of course he’s not happy when he’s not playing,” Terzic he said. “You could see that Gio is capable of influencing the game from the bench. He was very confident on the ball, managed to create a few dangerous situations, but was a bit unlucky with his finishing in one or two situations.”
The Dortmund boss then elaborated that he hopes that Reyna stays, and is available to him come the rest of the season. “I expect him to be available to me on Friday,” the coach said. “I haven’t heard anything else. Gio is under contract, Gio is our player and did well when he came on today.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Reyna has been linked with a move away from Dortmund all year, with the Black and Yellow seemingly being open to moving him this January as well. From Nottingham Forest and Marseille to Sevilla, multiple clubs have shown interest in the American midfielder. Now, with Terzic's recent comments, it looks like the American may not be departing after all.

If Reyna does not move before the end of the window, he's set to stay at Dortmund through the remainder of the season. Although he seemingly feels like a lock-in for a roster spot at Copa America, without playing time, Gregg Berhalter could be forced into another uncomfortable decision. It's also possible that Reyna could head to Paris with the U.S. Olympic team, as he fits the age requirements being just 21 still.
