After France took the lead just nine minutes into the semi-final clash, Yamal pulled his side level 12 minutes later with a fine effort. At just 16 years of age, he is now the youngest scorer in European Championship, having broken the record set by Johan Vonlanthen when he struck for Switzerland in Euro 2004 at the age of 18.
