Leeds United and the 49ers Enterprises are looking at signing a new Adidas-sponsored player this summer in a £20m+ transfer.
Leeds sweat on Gnonto injury as 49ers plan for summer
The Whites are hoping they will be preparing for life back in the Premier League this summer, however, there is still work to be done by Daniel Farke’s side in the final eight Championship games.
A recent wobble has seen Leeds take just five points from a possible 12, which has allowed rivals Sheffield United and Burnley to close the gap. It promises to be a nervy promotion run-in, and something that hasn’t helped Leeds’ cause is the injury to Wilfried Gnonto during the international break.

Gnonto impressed in his second-half display against QPR before the break in the No. 10 position after replacing Brenden Aaronson. However, Leeds are now assessing the ankle injury to the Italian after he returned to Yorkshire earlier than planned.
Should Leeds win promotion, the 49ers appear to have plans in place to make a number of eye-catching signings. A verbal agreement is already thought to be in place with former midfielder Kalvin Phillips, whereas Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has been earmarked as a replacement for Illan Meslier.

Leeds and 49ers eyeing £20m+ Rangers star Raskin
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds are looking at signing Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin this summer. The Belgium international has been impressing at Ibrox, and with the 49ers Enterprises agreeing a deal in principle to take over in Glasgow, a Leeds move for Raskin appears to be one to keep an eye on.
It is stated that Raskin, who is sponsored by Adidas, is also wanted by Aston Villa and Brentford, whereas clubs in Germany and Italy are also keen. The report adds that ‘Rangers will ask for a premium’ when it comes to selling Raskin, asking for more than £20m.
The 24-year-old has been praised by Rangers teammate, Cyriel Dessers, who said: “He can go very far. In the Serie A I saw players in the 6 who are no better than Nico, so he can go to the sub-top in a top competition. But it is important to take the right step to a competition and a team that suit his style.”
Meanwhile, Rangers sporting director Nils Koppen has also called Raskin “unique”, and if Leeds win promotion, the 49ers could green-light a move for the star, who can play as a central or holding midfielder.
