Kane opened the scoring inside 10 minutes, rolling the ball into an open net after a fine piece of setup play from Konrad Laimer. Frankfurt responded, though, PSG loanee Hugo Ekitike finding the bottom corner from long range. England's captain gave Bayern the lead after an hour, tucking a penalty into the bottom corner. The Bavarians could have added a third or fourth, and ultimately saw out a comfortable home win.

How many times can we say it? This has been an underwhelming season in Munich, but Kane has been magnificent throughout. The England captain scored both goals, and enjoyed yet another record-breaking afternoon. He now has 400 career goals for club and country, and has eclipsed his single-season scoring record. Most remarkably, he has scored or assisted against every Bundesliga team. Bayern are poor, but Kane has been unstoppable.
THE BIG LOSER
It's been an odd season for Laimer. The former RB Leipzig man has been rather misused for the Bavarians, switched between right-back and centre-midfield in a campaign that has ultimately lacked continuity. And after a fine 30 minutes here, he reached another point of frustration. The midfielder picked up an injury, and just three days from a crucial Champions League clash, seems unlikely to feature in what is undoubtedly the biggest game of the season.
WHAT COMES NEXT?
It's a good time for Bayern to be finding some form. Tuchel's side's attention now turns to the Champions League, where they will face Real Madrid in the first leg of their semi-final tie on Tuesday.
