Sheffield United fans on Twitter have made it clear that they don’t want the club to sign Will Vaulks from Rotherham.
Reports have suggested that the Blades are interested in acquiring the midfielder’s services this summer.
Vaulks has been the standout performer in a side who were relegated from the Championship. The Wales international scored seven goals and assisted a further seven.
The Blades supporters made it clear that they want Chris Wilder to steer clear of the Millers’ captain, but there could be further reasons behind that.
United have a long ingrained rivalry with Rotherham, and Vaulks played a huge part in that when the two sides met this season.
The Welshman was sent off after just 28 minutes when he played against the Steel City outfit, and that seems to have left a lasting impression on the fanbase.
It remains to be seen whether or not the newly promoted side will make a move for the 25-year-old, but if they did it would prove to be a very unpopular move.
